IF-Prehistoric

Stonehenge
This was my pick for this week's illustration.
It was produced by a culture that left no written records.
Although there are many theories surrounding its creation and purpose,the one that caught my imagination the most was an Arthurian legend.According to it, the sorcerer Merlin was responsible for constructing it.

    Mary Stewart wrote The Crystal Cave and talked about how Merlin reconstructed Stonehenge. I love that book if you want a different view of Merlin. Very nice painting :)
